During my four years at Chung Cheng University, in addition to my professional studies, I also completed some projects. These include the capstone course "CCU Robot Competition" & the Intelligent Robotics Workshop.




CCU Quadruped Bionic Robot Dog
This CCU DOG was made of acrylic with four aluminum motor boxes and tennis feet. Our mechanical dog can squat, lift a leg, walk and recognize numbers from 0 to 9 ! Finally, we won the Best Practical Work Award in the competition & the Best Design Award in the 2022 Artificial Intelligence Robot Invitation Competition for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao University Students.




Intelligent Robotics Workshop
This was a workshop organized by CHENBRO & SYNTEC, which was dedicated to solving problems on the production line in an intelligent way. Based on the topic of robotic arm and laser marking machine, our group connected the camera, robotic arm, laser marking machine, cloud platform and LINE to achieve timely inspection of QR code laser marking quality.




Use ML to Predict Thermal Displacement
During the machining process, the heat generated from the machine elements will be transferred to the spindle toolholder, causing the tool to be deformed by heat and affecting the machining accuracy. The spindle speed, machine temperature and spindle variation are collected at a fixed sampling time, and then use Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) & Multiple Layer Perceptron (MLP) to observe the factors and predictions the displacement.




License Plate Detection
Before the boom of AI, traditional image processing techniques, theories and algorithms were applied to detection and recognition systems. In this project, several image processing techniques were applied to detect and frame the location of license plates. It was found that the license plate can be correctly framed expect for angled or covered license plates and scenes with complex backgrounds.
